Fundamental Research: Utilizing renewable resources (e.g., cardanol, furfural, vanillin, eugenol) to synthesize functional organic polymers via techniques including living polymerization, click chemistry, and multicomponent reactions. Concurrently designing and synthesizing functional small organic molecules. Applied Research: Conducting synthesis research on fragrances, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, and their intermediates.
